Biography

Known as Angel Writer when she writes and directs her plays/skits, but behind the mic the crowds address her as aW.

born and raised in summerville, south carolina, aW (birth name: Dorothy Williams) is a God-gifted phenomenal woman who daily focuses her prayers and her pen on blessing the world through spoken word.

in aW’s own words, “spoken word is a release, a story, it’s LIFE, it’s ME, it’s YOU, and it’s answers to burning questions. it’s a voice for that one who can’t quite put all the words together… it’s God.”

crossing into her fourth year with spoken word she carries a growing resume. A resume jotted with events she’s been to, states she's visited, artists she opened for and stages she's had the opportunity to grace. she is blessed by every door God opens and humbly accepts His Will when He closes one.

over these fours years, aW has ministered the gospel to international audiences. she uses every outlet, from her job to churches to syndicated television shows which airs worldwide to speak life into “your hurt, your pain, your disgust, your questions, your yokes and burdens.”

this poet thrives on God originality not copy cats, so with this she lives life listening to hear from God on what He wants her to write and recite to the masses.

within all of aW’s pieces, you will hear scripture after scripture to take home and study so that you can continue to show yourself approved. she doesn’t just want you to take her word for it, when you can find it in The Word.

Once unsure of her true passion, aW is working towards her Masters degree in digital & motion media at Savannah College of Art and Design; however, aW will undoubtedly continue to write, so that God’s people- will be ministered to in a powerful and real way.

she remains humble, as God shows her the powers of what writing and speaking can do.

she steadfastly represents God, knowing that
He didn’t choose her because she loves to write, but He chose her because she has a relationship with Him.
