Biography

Stephen j Waters, is Wretched Man. A name which was taken out of the book of romans,chapter seven,Stephen chose that name in order to keep that reality of revelation3:17,in front of him daily, that he is wretched and in great need of a Savior. Who of course is Jesus Christ. Wretched was born in Los Angeles,CA to a beautiful mother,Carolyn Waters,who would eventually move to N.Y. and raise wretch and his two sisters. Wretched never had the opportunity to meet his biological father,Stephen J Johnson, due to the fact that he was killed while wretched was only a couple monhs old. At an early age while still in the home wretch was introduced to drugs, so without option wretch was thrust into the "hard knock life. Also at an early age wretched's musical gifting became apparent,he began getting involved with groups and different venues around New York city. However his love for music was not enough to overcome his addiction issues and his poor life mangement skills. He struggled with addiction issue's for the majority of his adult life, that is until God decided that it was time for His purpose to be fulfilled by Stephen. And in 2004, the Lord led wretched to a faith based program by the name of MN TEEN CHALLENGE,and it was there that God crushed him,and brought him into union with HIMSELF. It was also in that same season that the LORD expressed HIMSELF to wretched thru holy hip hop.........and the rest is HIStory. Wretched has blessed the mic with such artist as crossmovement FLAME,indies like Anointed Kings Alliance,others like Fred Lynch just to name a few. With raw street elements and biblical truth, WRETCHED MAN boldly brings the Light of Jesus Christ to places you wont find the average Christian!..........YA DIG!
