Even as a young child music has always been a place of shelter and escape for me in the mist of opposition. At the age of 10 years old I was a member of local rap group called” Call It What Up Want’’. During this time I had no idea what a gift was, but writing and performing on stage was exciting and fun for me even at a young age. With exposure and musical influences from artists such as, Carlos Santana, B.B.King, The Fat Boys, James Cleveland, and Stevie Wonder, I began to create and develop my own style of music. With aspirations and hopes of becoming the worlds next rap superstar of the world my dreams finally came to pass in May 1995 when I was offered a record deal from a local record company in Detroit, Michigan. Needless to say after long and frustrating hours of creating music on my own I sadly had to turn this what I thought was the dream of life time down because I had agreed and signed my contact to enter into the Military in October (1995). With the love and passion for music still within my heart even as a soldier I continue to pursue my music aspirations and found myself participating in talent shows from duty station to duty station as a hip hop artist. Not knowing what the Lord had in store for me in the year of 2000, I was converted by God himself and gave my life to Christ still foreshadowing with a gift of writing and producing music. It wasn’t until the late 2008 that the Lord gave me the go ahead and to speak the word of God through music. The years between 2000 and 2008 were really life changing years. With opposition from friends’ foes and unfortunately the ones I call my brothers and sisters in Christ. The heart of the matter is true and heaven sent by the Lord himself. Music has always been a gift for me, but for many years I buried it in the earth because I allowed the enemy to trick and deceive me to think other wise. Thank God for his grace, mercy, and strength to make it though the test. God is able to do what he has promised. Look at Romans 4:20-21: "Yet [Abraham] did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what he had promised." The Bible is full of God's promises, but unlike the promises that we make, God's promises are true and he fulfills every one. Abraham believed God's promise that he would be the father of many nations. He did not waver through unbelief but was made strong as he believed in the promise of God, because he knew the one who promised it was able to perform it. Thank God he’s not like man….. Enjoy!!!!!
