Biography
Picture a rap artist that brings a strong conviction with witty lyrics that makes you think while nodding your head to the infectious beat. This artist & minister delivers music that makes you jump out of your seat, but also helps you to reevaluate your life for positive and uplifting change. His talents have landed him on countless projects for other artist as a writer and a producer.
Born Damion Morse, Raised in Atlanta, Ga. and the oldest of five children, Minister Blak weathered a very strenuous and chaotic childhood. It was this chaos that gave him the strength to tackle the world with a head on collision of hard music and scathing lyrics while also making him an advocate for Jesus. Now living in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, with his wife and three children Minister Blak has been relentlessly grinding for the last decade as a Holy Hip Hop artist as well as an artist friendly producer. Known as being a hard worker, Minister Blak keeps his focus by staying on a unique regime that includes daily work in the perfection of his talents.
In 2005, Minister Blak started his music label and production company officially under the name “Blaksociety Music” that focuses on artistic ministries for those individuals that choose to use their talents to uplift God’s people through gospel music. The company has released Blak’s second solo album entitled “The Testament” (Produced by Minister Blak) in 2008 and has released his newest CD entitled "Free Indeed" (produced by Minister Blak) in 2010 that produced his biggest single to date “New Day”. With more music projects on the way, Minister Blak is sure to take life lessons and experiences and inject them into the veins of his music.
