Biography

Though he gave his life to Christ at the young age of ten, E. Hood began to delve into a life of sin, lust, and anger. In high school this Philadelphia native moved to North Carolina with his parents. To fit in and meet new friends he joined a group called Ghetto Wine. A hip hop group known for its songs about drinking, girls, and self gratification. The group would perform on stage with Craig Mack, Blackstreet, Queen Latifah, and Black Moon. Although most of their songs were about lifestyles not pleasing to the Lord, E. Hood would never forget the message that God was speaking into his heart, “Come back To Me And I Will Give You Many Blessings”. After college that is exactly what he did. In 2005 he rededicated his life back to Christ. He became married and now has two beautiful children. Now dedicated to the Lord, E. Hood as recently finished his debut solo album entitled ‘Da Conception EP’. An album filled with his classic story song style that paints clear pictures of how it was to live a life unfulfilling to the Lord. Da Conception EP features a track entitled Change, a true story based from the book “This Life Is A Journey” written by Bruce Wallace. This beautiful testimony is about a young man's rise and fall in the music business. Change will surely bring tears to the listeners eyes, especially the outtake from Mary Ida Vandross, mother of the late great Luther Vandross. The album also features guest appearance by Lo C records artist Smooth Rapture & Humphrey Hopson from Phoenix AZ, DJ Gospel.
