Biography

Josephine Jambi Kiongera often referred to as Child of Zion aka C.O.Z is a record producer, rapper, songwriter, reggae artist and model. Born and raised in Thika, Kenya, she was first exposed to singing and dancing competitions as a minor. Jambi moved to the United States of America in 2001 where she pursued her education as well as her musical career, in 2003 she finally saw that there was more to life than what she had been living, She had a true encounter with Jesus Christ and dedicated her life to Him. In 2005 she decided to use her vocal skills to bring glory to God and spread the Gospel to the nations. Child of Zion has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many Holy Hip Hop and secular artists Canton Jones, Kurtis Blow, K-drama, D-M.AU.B, Travis Porter and so many more. When Child of Zion ministers people are drawn to the music and lives are changed, she has a unique way of delivering the Gospel that is both entertaining and enlightening. "My real love is in doing outreach, I have wells, homes and hospitals to build music is a tool that I will use to bring these visions to pass" she says smiling.

Child of Zion is also the CEO of Kisbahlayish Multimedia and Design a company that support an array of Christian businesses and individuals with the sole goal of spreading the Gospel.In 2006 Child of Zion and her husband William Wright became the executive producers of the nationally syndicated Holy Hip Hop show hosted by Eddie Velez. The show has since then grown in coverage and has become one of the top raked radio shows. Josephine aka Child of Zion has also been an executive producer and songwriter for several CDs distributed worldwide by EMI gospel these include Inspiration Jam Vol 1, Inspiration Jam Vol 2, Holy Hip Hop Vol 7, Holy Hip Hop Vol 8 and Musical Soul Food Vol 1. These CDs managed to to get on iTunes top 100 and Amazon during different promotional times.

When Child of Zion ministers people are drawn to the music and lives are changed, she has a unique way of delivering the Gospel that is both entertaining and enlightening. In 2010 Child of Zion will release her long awaited album, "Artifacts" which features collaborations with D-M.A.U.B , CY, Kenyatta and so many more. " We are like artifacts, we are dirty, buried in sin and seem to be long forgotten until God finds us and restores us and then "we" the once forgotten and neglected are highly priced artifacts put on display for the whole world to see and marvel- look what God has done!" Jambi currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and children.
